Attorney David M. Arvesen has joined Bell Nunnally as senior counsel and a member of the Intellectual Property, Corporate and Securities, and Real Estate Law practices.
“David’s robust technical and litigation experience will provide invaluable insights to our clients as they navigate complex patent and IP landscapes,” said Christopher B. Trowbridge, managing partner of Bell Nunnally. “Intellectual property is a key growth area for our firm, and we’re excited to welcome David because his background as an engineer, combined with his extensive IP experience, perfectly aligns with our strategic goals. His expertise will bolster our capabilities and help us deliver innovative, industry-specific solutions as we continue to expand in this space.”

He also vigorously protects clients’ interests in patent litigation covering a wide variety of technologies. In addition, Arvesen handles a range of transactional matters, including corporate and real estate.
Before entering law, Arvesen worked as a project engineer for a railcar manufacturer, providing him with real life experience in the application of patents, insight into their importance to manufacturing and business competitiveness, and the opportunity to develop practical problem-solving skills.
“I’m excited to join Bell Nunnally’s IP team,” said Arvesen. “The firm is well-regarded for its commitment to client success, and I look forward to leveraging my experience to help companies both usher in new innovations and also defend hard-earned IP in the marketplace.”
Arvesen is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where he earned his law degree and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering (J.D., 2012; M.E., 2012). He earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University (B.S., 2006).
Named a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star® by Thomson Reuters since 2021, Arvesen is the fourth senior-level attorney to join Bell Nunnally in the second half of 2024, following Corporate Partner John F. Guild in October, M&A Partner Jonathan Farrokhnia in September and real estate Partner Spencer C. Diebel in June.
